How much does a custom home cost in Perth?

Custom homes in Perth vary widely based on design complexity and specs. The award-winning Marmion home mentioned in this article fell into the $1.2-$1.7 million category. Final costs depend on site constraints and material choices.

How long does it take to build a custom home in Perth?

Construction timelines depend on design complexity, site conditions, and approvals. Complex sites with engineering challenges, like the Marmion project, typically require extended planning periods to ensure smooth construction.

What makes architectural home builders different from volume builders?

Architectural home builders create custom designs tailored to specific sites and client needs, coordinating engineers and specialist trades for unique constraints. Volume builders typically use standardised plans with limited flexibility.

Do I need a registered builder for a custom home in Perth?

Yes. Western Australian law requires all residential construction over $20,000 to use a registered building contractor. Trendsetter Homes holds registration BC 10254.
